What Clive Palmer can teach us all about PR and marketing

Love him or hate him - Clive Palmer is living proof that advertising and PR works.

Putting aside the populist politics and contradictory policy positions, what the Palmer Party has shown us once more is that if you have a simple message and a loud enough voice you can get noticed.

Whether your brand remains credible comes down to not what you say but what you DO...and that’s where the wheels might fall off.

But for all those communication skeptics who are quick to cut the promotional budget when things get tough and reckon it won’t make any difference, maybe you need to think again.

Promotion does work and you don’t change hearts and minds sitting in your office thinking good thoughts and whispering to your colleagues.  If you want to drive change, you need to speak louder and be prepared to be turn up and be heard.
